American Shorthair Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Cats, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Very Low Energy, Submissive
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Dolly-2 & 1/2 years waiting for a home Dolly has spent her entire life waiting for that hard to find person seeking the hard to adopt kitty that has been rejected by everyone else. Dolly's start to life held circumstances so terrifying to her kitten mind that she would require many long months of love and nurturing to move past the fears that could not allow her to trust the hands that reached for her. Dolly arrived in December 2014 with her 2 sisters all so feral that gloves were needed to handle the 8 week old babies. Typically a feral kitten will respond to kindness much faster than will an adult feral. But Dolly was an exception and ... (Read More)would grow into adulthood with a very slow shedding of the fears that imprisoned her soul. Time and continued kindness quelled much of her fear and in place of the defensive kitty there emerged a shy kitty willing to greet visitors even if hesitantly. Dolly will now voluntarily climb into the lap of those people who have encouraged her across her long evolution from fear to a desire to experience the exchange of affections which come so easily to the other residents of the Cat Room. She is our longest waiting kitty and our most difficult to adopt. We look every day for that rare person looking for a kitty companion like Dolly. Dolly has a sponsor who subsidized her fee to $25. Consider visiting Dolly Tue-Sat 10-4 and Sun 1-4. Applications can be submitted at the shelter or on line at: http://www.charlessmithgallhumanesociety.org/%BD'%BD|/cat-adoptio%BD'%BD|/ . Each of our cats is loved and nurtured by our staff and volunteers during their stay with us and each is placed with same due diligence that they would be given if they were our own four legged family members. American Shorthair    Age: Senior

Compatibility: Good with Most Cats, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

I am getting ready to retire and have started to search for a new home. Being head of security for almost 11 years was my full time job and I can provide excellent references for my responsible performance. I'm hoping for a simpler lifestyle where I can live out my years in comfort and security. I just need a family who will provide some basic necessities like food, a roof over my head, and of course lots of attention. I don't need much more than an occasional lap to cuddle on whenever the mood strikes me. It was a rather lonely profession and if the truth be known, I longed for the company of a real family. So it will a dream come true for ... (Read More)me! If I sound like a girl who will fit right into your heart and household, please get in touch. I have an up to date medical record and my bags are packed. Meow from Whirley........ (Less)
