Rescue Me ID: 17-07-18-00129Miller (male)

American Shorthair Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Not Good w/ Other Cats, Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Very Dominant
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Say hello to a happy, talkative, social, and affectionate cat. He is a healthy cat, no problems, he just doesn't like to share his space with other cats. He prefers to be indoor/outdoor (he's a hunter) but with the right amount of attention he would be happy indoor only. Miller grew up probably alone on the street until I found him and adopted him from a shelter. He was 2 and I have had him 3 years. He weighs about 11 lbs. Unfortunately, he became very territorial in the first 2 years of his life, and that has not adapted well in a house with another cat. I love Miller and I want him to have a loving home. If you have never had an orange ... (Read More)tabby, they are truly awesome cats!! (Less)

Animal ID: 17053100577Grayson (male)

American Shorthair Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Cats
Personality: Average Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Neutered, Fearful/Anxious

Grayson was rescued as a newborn along with his tiny mother and 4 brothers. He currently resides with his 64 year old rescuer, his brother Stache, and Fitty a young female cat who is also a stray rescue. He was born on Mother's Day 2 years ago. His rescuer lives alone with these cats but is moving out of state in the fall to live in the care of her daughter due to health issues and is seeking to find loving homes for the cats. Grayson has lived with his rescuer and the other 2 cats since he was born and does not have a trusting relationship with any outside humans. He will need a loving home with someone who understands cat behaviors. ... (Read More)Grayson is a big beautiful strong healthy boy with a thick soft body of hair that is a pleasure to stroke. He is not a picky eater, is litterbox trained, he knows his name and is not a complainer. He has a soft kind of squeaky meow. Once you gain his trust he will come to you and plop down in your lap to be held belly up like a baby and have his throat, head, and the back of his neck to be lightly scratched. He loves that. Until then he will need his own 'safe place' to hide and sleep until he decides it might be safe for him to come out and explore his new home. Then he will expect to eat in the morning and evening. As far as dogs go he doesn't seem to mind a dog that is about his size but bigger than him he likes to growl and hiss and swat at them and enjoys intimidating them. But truth be told he prefers to play with cat toys on a stick, naps, and sleeping against you. (Less)

American Shorthair Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Kids and Adults

Lance is a sweet boy, that can be a bully at times. He would do well in a home with kids 12 & older. Lance can be over bearing to submissive cats and dogs, so homes with other pets is debatable. Home check is required.
