American Shorthair    Age: Young Kitten

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Cats, Not Good w/ Dogs, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Hi! My name is Pepper. I was born April 1 outside. Some very nice humans rescued me from being killed by dogs when I was two weeks old! Did you know that I started out with Siamese markings? Each day my coat changed color and now I'm almost completely black! I've got these cool ghost stripes under my coat and some freckles of white fur. I love to play with other kitties, but dogs really scare me. Do you think you could be my family?

American Shorthair    Age: Young Kitten

Compatibility: Good with Most Cats, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament

Pinot is a very curious, active, and humorous. He has bursts of energy that will keep you smiling until he crashes and takes an adorable cat nap. When Pinot is not running around with his favorite toy in his mouth, he will be caught cuddling with his new mommy/daddy. Oh, and he purrs loudly to let you know that he loves the attention you are giving him. I acquired Pinot from the pet store where a local rescue was having kitten adoptions. Pinot is 3 months old but I will like to say that he is 3 months going on 3 years! He is a tough and explorative kitty that will try his limits with his new household. Once he is done playing, the warmest ... (Read More)area in the house is where you will find him. He loves being handled and being close with his owner. I am looking for a loving home that will give Pinot the time to grow up to be a great companion. A perfect home for Pinot is one that has lots of toys, warm blankets, and warm hands to pet him with. American Shorthair Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Needs Vaccinations

George is a wonderfully sweet cat. We have had him for three years and unfortunately due to my severe allergies (and my daughters) we can no longer keep him. I have tried allergy shots, sinus surgery and am on 3 allergy medications (we have not taken this decision lightly). My allergies are now causing asthma. George is shy at first, but once he feels comfortable he is happy and curious (hence the name Curious George)! He gets along with dogs and is very tolerant of children. Loves to bat at toys and play/pounce on them. He is a lover and even his vet thinks so! He will fall on the ground like a dog for belly rubs(growing up with a ... (Read More)dog, we think he thinks he is part dog). He loves to spy out the window ALL DAY and LOVES to snuggle on the couch. (Less)

American Shorthair    Age: Young Kitten

Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

My name is Mary. My siblings are Peter and Paul. I was trapped at a local restaurant along with my mom and my siblings. We were living out of the dumpster. Our mom was spayed and put back outside because she was so feral. The restaurant workers like her and leave food out for her too. She will keep the rodent population down at that restaurant. When Feral Cat Rescue first started in 2007 Tri County Shelter was euthanizing 550 cats per month. Because of rescue groups doing what is known as Trap/Neuter/ Return, that number was reduced to 185 per month in 2016. Please be part of the solution and borrow a trap and get the feral cats ... (Read More)spayed and neutered. Feral Cat Rescue usually has free spay/neuter grants. Enough of that stuff!! Let me tell you about me. I was so scared when they first caught me. I was hissing and trembling. Now I love to be petted and purr. My foster mom has been holding me a lot so I will make an excellent addition to any family. She hurt her knee so she sits a lot and holds us. When she walks into the room, instead of hiding I run over so I can get some of that love. We were born around April 20th. If we are not adopted online, we will be going to the Petco in California on Saturdays and Sundays from 10:30 to 3 around June 20th. You could fill out an application at www.feralcatrescuemd.org and email it to diane@feralcatrescuemd.org Once approved you could meet us at our foster mom's house and reserve us. Maybe you would like to adopt two of us so that we can have a playmate when you are at work. I can't wait to be in my own home. Love always, Mary (Less)

Hi, I'm Tiggie and I think I'm a little tiger. I am six weeks old and have two sisters, Kiwi and Helga, and a brother named Walter. I have lots of white fur with many tiger stripes, skinny ones that are fun to look at. I pretend I am a trapeze artist and walk our play tent top like a circus wire. I am sleek and fast but am also needy and cuddly. I like you to carry me around with you. I like you to hold me while you ride the exercise bike. I like to nap. We all curl up in a pile and nap when you tell us its nap time - because we are growing kitties and need our sleep. Helga is right, I make noises when I eat; I play growl because I want to ... (Read More)eat all the food just like a growing tiger would. I have a secret the others didn't tell you. We purr a lot. Like every time we see you because we are so happy to greet you. Or if you touch us we just can't help but purr. It's loud when we all purr at the same time. I might post a better picture later, but here I am showing my stripes to you. We will be ready for adoption around June 17th when we are 8 weeks old. We will go to the Petco in California then on Saturdays and Sundays if we are not adopted online first.     Hi, I'm Helga. I am six weeks old and have two sisters, Kiwi and Tiggie, and a brother named Walter. I am slender and sleek and quite cute and feminine. My name means 'holy' or 'blessed'. I love to run around and play with my siblings. We all love to eat, but Tiggie thinks she's a tiger and makes noises while she eats like she's special or something, so I am patient and let her go first. I like to run around in our cat tent like the others and climb the scratching post. I like rolling ball toys that make noise. And I like this fuzzy ball that sounds like crinkles.     Hi, I'm Kiwi. I am six weeks old and have two sisters, Tiggie and Helga, and a brother named Walter. Walter taught me to eat solid food and is my best friend. My favorite toy is a stuffed yellow elephant. I am cute as a button and have a spot on my nose. I'm growing up fast. I used to be the smallest and shyest and now I'm almost as big and brave as Walter. I like to play in my cat tent with toys. We have a scratching post we take turns climbing to be king of the post. This teaches us how to scratch on scratching posts see; but when we get big we need a bigger scratch post though, kay? I would like you to adopt me and my brother Walter ...     Hi, I'm Walter. I am six weeks old and have three sisters, Kiwi, Tiggie, and Helga. My favorite toy is a stuffed catbernet wine bottle. Besides being cute, I can fall sleep anyplace; I like to eat; I'm a good big brother; I don't cry and whine; I am well adjusted for a little guy. Some call me Batman because of my ears but my name actually means 'a great ruler' - so I'll be a great kitty! I have a lot of personality and am a good helper.     Meet Celeste. She turned one year old in March 2017. Celeste was originally adopted from a South Carolina shelter in 2016. Unfortunately, her mom developed severe allergies during pregnancy and had to give her up. A kind person drove all the way to Paris Island to take her into to their family with the intention of giving her a forever home. Sadly, that was not the case. Celeste's second family had to give her up after only a month of having her due to an unexpected move across the country. Right now Celeste is struggling to trust humans. She's been let down twice and it's taken a toll on her. She came to us with another cat named Luey, but ... (Read More)as of now she does not like other animals. This girl breaks our hearts.
